BASSET FAUVE DE BRETAGNE CLUB OF AMERICA
Originating in France, the Basset Fauve de Bretagne or Fawn Brittany Basset, at 12.5-15.5 inches tall and 25-35 lbs, is one of the smallest French hounds. A hunter of small game, he is hardy, wire-coated, lively, outgoing and family friendly. Although developed in the 1800's, the Basset Fauve is rarely seen outside its country of origin. Being recognized by the United Kennel Club in 1996, the first Basset Fauve de Bretagne was imported into the USA in November 2001.
This club is no longer an active club in the USA, as of November 2016
